« I am convinced that you have found the perfect balance and neutrality to get the most out of audio systems and unlock their full potential. »

« I connected your cables to my loudspeakers yesterday, and it brought a noticeable improvement to my audio system. The high frequencies became clearer, the low frequencies gained better elasticity and layering while remaining distinct, and the transitions between high, mid, and low frequencies were exceptionally well-balanced. Thank you very much! »

« Despite the small cross-section of the copper in your cables, I noticed excellent dynamics and sufficient energy transfer. The speed was also impressive on progressive rock. Jazz and classical music truly deserve a special mention. I observed a three-dimensional reproduction of instruments with exceptional precision, which is very much a positive. »

Brandt-Audio power cable test for the « Le Suiveur » amplifier.

Cable tests are always tricky and often subjective, and when I received this cable from the designer of the « Suiveur » amplifiers, my first thought was that a cable connecting the two units of this amplifier would bring nothing beyond what the stock cable already offered. Yet from the very first listening session, I was surprised to find that the improvement was clear and evident across the board.

The listening session was conducted on the following system:

Loudspeakers: Stenheim Alumine Three Digital sources: CH Precision Amplifier: « Le Suiveur » by Natural Sound Audio with switchable gain Preamplifier: « PRE » by Natural Sound Audio Cables: Cardas, AudioQuest, Shunyata

Test recordings:

The Nits – Urk On this live recording from the 1980s, the airiness and soundstage are magnificent. The sense of being at a live concert feels genuinely realistic. The image is more stable, cleaner, and better defined. The highs are crystal clear, never harsh. The bass is deep and very well controlled, with not the slightest hint of bloat.

Harry Connick Jr. – Chanson du Vieux Carré Art of Noise – In No Sense? Nonsense! Edward Elgar – Cello Concerto, Op. 85

Whether on jazz, contemporary pop, or classical music, the dynamics are impressive. The power of the « Suiveur » is unleashed, with the amplifier’s full potential truly realised. You can listen at high volume without feeling the slightest harshness. The Cello Concerto conducted by Sir John Barbirolli and performed by Jacqueline du Pré is a perfect example: the orchestra can express itself freely at full power without any sense of limitation. The midrange — one of Brandt cables’ greatest strengths — here delivers all the warmth and tonal beauty of the cello.

Shirley Horn – I Thought About You (Live at Vine St. / 1987) The presence of this jazz diva is palpable, almost unsettling — felt especially on the track « Summer (Estate). »

In summary: Having listened to Brandt-Audio cables on many occasions, I recognise in this one all the qualities and magic of products shaped by an uncompromising, unembellished pursuit of musicality. Once again, congratulations and thanks to Mr. Brandt for this achievement — it will be hard to part with this cable, so effectively does it bring out the qualities of the « Suiveur. »
