The Pietrasanta in Concerto music festival.
In the early 2000s, by chance, I met a number of classical musicians. I became friends with a brilliant Belgian violinist. I often went to hear him when he performed in Switzerland, Italy or Belgium. One day, when he was performing at a festival on the island of Elba, he asked me to accompany him to a meeting with the authorities. We met the Minister of Culture of a lovely small town in Tuscany, Pietrasanta, whom I knew well.
That’s how Michaël Guttmann changed the course of my life: with a wave of his magic wand, he appointed me co-founder of the Pietrasanta in Concerto music festival, which was born out of that meeting. I was responsible for the administrative and organisational side of things. The corollary to this heavy responsibility was an immense and marvellous advantage, that of entering the world of music and being able to rub shoulders with renowned and prestigious musicians. As a result, over the years I’ve become very demanding when it comes to good sound reproduction, and I’ve made a point of being able to feel at home the emotions I experience at concerts. This led me to work on the parts of my hi-fi system that were accessible to me, the cables. That’s how Brandt-Audio was born in 2014.
